THE 6TH ANNUAL RUTH K FOUNDATION CAMPAIGN ROLLED OUT Dr RSM District

GANYESA – The Ruth K Foundation today rolled out its sixth annual campaign a vital campaign aimed at raising awareness and combating gender-based violence and human trafficking in the Dr RSM District.

Cyclists from four different towns —Kathu in the Northern Cape, Mamusa, Mahikeng, and Zeerust—began their journey at the Mini Garona Government Complex in Vryburg, riding towards Ganyesa with the escort of local traffic officials.

Upon arriving in Ganyesa, the cyclists were welcomed by the acting Mayor of Kagisano Molopo at the Tlou le Tau tribal office.

The foundation also took this opportunity to reach out to local schools, distributing essential parcels that included toiletries, food, garden tools, and seeds to support the community.

Maleshana Mogale, the Public Relations Officer of the Ruth K Foundation, emphasised the organization’s commitment to helping underprivileged children.
“We came to Ganyesa to give back to the needy children,” Mogale stated. When asked by MORONGWA about the impact of their efforts, she expressed deep emotion, recounting a poignant moment when she handed shoes to a child who was barefoot.

The campaign is set to continue tomorrow at the Tlou le Tau tribal office, featuring an Aerobic Marathon, the presentation of medals to cyclists, and a dialogue focused on “Kgodiso Ya Ngwana.”

The event is expected is expected to be attended by the MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management, Hon Wessels Morweng, the Executive Mayor of Dr Ruth S. Mompati District Municipality, Cllr. Sense Maje and the Mayor of Kagisano Molopo Local Municipality, Cllr. K Mothwane.

This initiative highlights the Ruth K Foundation’s dedication to fostering community engagement and addressing critical social issues through active participation and support.
